Trauma & PTSD

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD, is becoming more and more prevalent it seems. Before the 1970s, it used to be called shell shock or soldier’s heart and referred to the impact that war had on many soldiers. In the late 70’s, it became known as PTSD. 

Anxiety

In our day and age, with the busyness and stress of life, anxiety is common. Together with depression, anxiety has become increasingly prevalent.

Depression

Depression is one of the most prevalent and debilitating mental health concerns. It is considered to be the 2nd leading cause of premature death and disability. Clearly the toll it can take is serious.

Grief & Loss

Grief is a normal response to loss. When the loss of a loved on is traumatic in some way, normal grieving doesn't always occur. Rather, a form of complicated grieving takes place, which can render the person overwhelmed.

Burnout

Burnout is a state of chronic stress where, in addition to being fatigued and emotionally exhausted, people also feel ineffective and that they are lacking accomplishment in things they used to feel pretty good about.
