Counselling for Burnout

Burnout therapy: In a culture that promotes excessive stress, People are increasingly talking about how burnout affects them. It’s normal for people to be tired and fatigued from time to time, or even for a few days or weeks in a row if circumstances are unusually challenging, but that is not actually the same thing as being burnt out. Burnout is a state of chronic stress where, in addition to being fatigued and emotionally exhausted, people also feel ineffective and that they lack accomplishment in things they used to feel pretty good about, together with growing cynicism and detachment towards work, family, or friends. A general sense of malaise takes over. Irritability, anxiety and insomnia are common.

Burnout depends more on how people cope than on how stressful life is. High achievers often face burnout. They push themselves too hard and struggle to set work boundaries. Many find it difficult to accept things as “good enough.” They constantly worry about falling behind. They either overachieve or exhaust themselves trying.

Burnout builds up slowly. People often miss the symptoms until it gets worse.

Recovery looks different for everyone. A key goal of therapy is to help people focus on the present and appreciate the moment. Finding a balance between achievement and well-being is important. People also need to improve their self-care habits.Managing stress effectively can prevent burnout. Prioritizing rest and setting healthy limits are essential for long-term well-being.
